For non-wrestling fans, you'd know Terry Funk as being one of the main bad guys in ROAD HOUSE (and other 80's gems like OVER THE TOP).
But wrestling fans knew Terry Funk as a workhorse performer who always managed to take a beating, pioneering high violence bouts that would eventually dominate the "Attitude" era in the WWE.
He was the mentor for Mick Foley, and was often the foe of WWE legend Ric Flair. Never flashy or known outside of wrestling fans, I've never heard a bad word about him.

You know it's Hollywood, because the idea of Swayze whipping Funk's ass is just silly.
