Another award show, another record low for that show as Hollywood continues to hate the very people who make or break them:
"This year reports Programming Insider, only 5.36 million total viewers tuned in to the Golden Globes.
For comparison, on that same Tuesday night, over at CBS, two out of three of its procedural dramas beat the once-mighty Globes. At 8 p.m., the FBI drew 6.43 million viewers. At 10 p.m., FBI: Most Wanted attracted 5.92 million.
At its height, The Golden Globe Awards on NBC, which signal the unofficial start of the awards season, attracted as many as 26.8 million viewers (in 2004, according to Nielsen Media Research).
In 2020 when there were just as many streaming services and cable networks as there are today, the Golden Globes attracted 18.33 million total viewers." ---------------------------
The host was a nobody who literally told the audience in the opening monologue that he was only hired b/c "he's black." Kevin Hart is black too.
But why hire someone who's funny, charismatic, and beloved by just about every human on earth? Reasons.
And of course Ricky Gervais is still alive, ain't he? He's the one that generated that big number in 2020. But he cut just a wee bit too close to the bone when he told the audience that they were friends of Harvey Weinstein, not him.
So Hollywood continues to careen towards utter irrelevancy, all while breathing deeply of their own fart gas.

The biggest news of the night is the news that will soon dominate the summer - that Brendon Fraser didn't attend b/c he was molested by a former President of the Golden Globes when he was young. "Fraser he claims his movie opportunities dried up after being sexually assaulted the then-president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Philip Berk. The 49-year-old told GQ magazine the alleged incident occurred after they shook hands at a California hotel in 2003. He said: "His left hand reaches around, grabs my ass cheek, and one of his fingers touches me in the taint. And he starts moving it around. "I felt ill. I felt like a little kid. I felt like there was a ball in my throat. I thought I was going to cry." ------------------------------------------ Of course gays grooming/fucking young actors - like Harvey Weinstein's antics - has long been known about by everyone in Hollywood but do nothing to stop it (which is why everyone of them is a bag of trash). Corey Feldman long ago made believable accusations of being molested, which naturally were quickly hushed up. Going to be much harder to hide Fraser's accusations going forward. "Sorry" says the dude who finger-banged Fraser's butthole:
