I've never been a giant Fleetwood Mac fan, but I know plenty of people who are. LOTS of people bummed out over this.
As a side note, I had no idea that they were originally a British band.
RIP classy lady.

Their story is pretty wild. Like they were basically a three-piece blues band in England before they met up with Buckingham and Nicks, who were singer/songwriter/muicians. Buckingham was a guitar maniac. Basically, they came in and took the band over, which created a shitload of friction. There was loads of alcohol, drugs, sex, cheating, and people actually writing hit songs, and then expecting their husband/wife to sing/play along with that hit song that was about their husband/wife fucking another person. "You make loving fun" for example, was about Christine McVie's side dude that John McVie played bass on. Ditto for Nicks/Buckingham. Just nuts. Like, their entire existence WAS the 70s in summation, which is probably why "Rumors" was THE album that defined the band and a LOT of the decade itself. Also, the record was made at the legendary "Sound City", which was home to a device of which only 3 were ever created. A special board made by an English engineer that was actual Elvish magic; the Neve Electronics 8028 Console. "Rumors", "Nevermind", and "Appetite for Destruction" were all recorded their among scores of other bands biggest and most significant hits. I guess the first song ever recorded on the device itself at Sound City was Lindsay Buckingham, which is what led Fleetwood Mac to invite them (He and Nicks) to join. After Sound City closed, Dave Grohl bought the Elvish magic device and installed it at his house. Pretty cool documentary about the whole thing: But while artists from the 1970s and 80s were mega-talented, it didn't stop them from occasionally cranking out some gay ass shit. Observe:

That HAIR.
Dude, the prices of some of that '60 's and '70's recording tech/keyboard tech is astronomical.
Could have bought it for 10 cents in the mid-80's, now priceless.
