Real, real tough night for the Demoncrats as they lost yet another governorship and attorney general, this time in Virginia. His opponent only had to not be insane and suggest mildly sensible things that most rational people totally agree with to rout the incumbent.
What does this mean for 22? Well, any Demoncrat in office should probably start making plans for their Post-Congressional career. It's going to be so bad, that apparently Pelosi has already declared that she's not going to run. Seems Nancy has seen the writing and is heading for the exit.
Sliwa lost in NYC, but he was a longshot and he deleted a tweet where he said he would eliminate vaccine and mask mandates, only to embrace it later on but far too late. Lesson here: Go all the way or don't go.
There are other races too that went badly for the Demons, as of this writing it's not clear if Murphy held on in NJ or not, but in Buffalo, the incumbent mayor won a 4th term, even as he had to run as a write-in candidate when the Demons tried to replace him with a leftoid in the primaries.
All in all a crushing night for the Demons and a bellweather for 22' which is sure to be an absolute bloodbath. It's worth noting that Trump endorsed Youngkin, but I do not believe he endorsed Sliwa. It's Trump's country. See you in 24'.
