Looks like Alec Baldwin accidentally killed his director photography and wounded his director of the latest film he's on.

Not leaving aside any particular feelings I have for him as a person, this is an absolute tragedy, and completely avoidable. Wherever the weapons master was for that day needs to be fired at a bare minimum and definitely prosecuted. I don't think Alec Baldwin, barring any serious misuse of the weapon, like pointing it directly at the woman's head or something, should be blamed. The fact is that this scenario should simply be impossible on any movie set in 2021. There are no scenarios where this should be allowed to happen, it shouldn't even be able to happen in any circumstances.
