Considering how unwatchably bad the show became after the 3rd season, maybe this is a good thing?
"Rick and Morty will continue without its co-creator Justin Roiland after domestic violence charges were brought against him, Adult Swim has confirmed.
The network released a statement on Tuesday, January 24 in which it confirmed that it had cut ties with Roiland but that the animated series would continue.
Sharing the statement on Instagram, it said: "Adult Swim has ended its association with Justin Roiland. Rick and Morty will continue. The talented and dedicated crew are hard at work on Season 7." -----------------------
Oh goodie! I'm sure it will be even betterer now!
Note that Roiland has not been convicted - indeed we don't yet even know the name of his accuser - and that this allegedly happened over a year, it was time for him to go....
...Along with his giant contract. Which I'm sure is just a coinky-dink.

For 2 - maybe 3 - seasons the show was arguably one of the best ever to air on the electric tit.
And then the rest of them happened.
Toys/merch did enumerable damage to STAR WARS, and much the same can be said for R&M. It blew up so fast that I suppose it was inevitable that the show became too self-aware, but man was the decline fast. Like 6 months fast.

As soon as the head writer got divorced, it was all she wrote.
