And then there were 4.... For baby boomers and Gen X the death of Tony Dow, made famous in LEAVE IT TO BEAVER, will sting a bit.
Dow was great as the Beaver's older brother, and continued on in Hollywood behind the scenes as a producer and director, including serving as the visual effects supervisor for BABYLON 5. In 1996, he provided visual effects for the Fox television movie Doctor Who. Dow's death is within 24 hours of David Warner, Paul Sorvino, and director/producer Bob Rafelson.
RIP ultimate boy from next door

Well, not so fast! "“Leave It to Beaver” star Tony Dow is still alive, despite a death announcement posted on his official Facebook page Tuesday morning. Dow’s management said his wife, Lauren Shulkind, believed her husband was dead and passed that message on to his team, according to an updated Facebook post on Tuesday afternoon. She is reportedly “distraught” over the error. “This morning Tony’s wife Lauren, who was very distraught, had notified us that Tony had passed and asked that we notify all his fans. As we are sure you can understand, this has been a very trying time for her,” the updated announcement read." -------------------------------- Oopsy! nypost.com/2022/07/26/leave-it-to-beaver-star-tony-dow-still-alive-wife-mistakenly-believed-he-was-dead/
