You know things are getting bad when not even Dr. Strange can save the bottom line. And that appears to be the case as THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS dropped like a stone in its 2nd week of release, a massive 68% downgrade.
By way of reference, that's about the same as THE HULK and BLACK WIDOW. Bad word of mouth seems to be dooming the once guaranteed hit, which is yet another sign that the MCU may be running out of gas.
True, it's world wide gross is sitting at $688 million, but as this is essentially the flagship MCU flick, the much lower that past AVENGERS grosses has to be a bad thing for Disney.
As more proof of that, Disney isn't releasing the viewership figures for the finale of Moon Knight, "which means it was bad" according to DEADLINE Magazine.
That's as a new poll released this week indicates that Disney's popularity - once unassailable - has cratered to an all time low. This mirrors Disney's stock, which began that year at $180 a share, but is now only $105 - a nearly 40% drop in value. And it will likely get a lot worse for the Mouse House when THOR - which now improbably stars Natalie Portman in the title role - falls on its ass hard.

At best, this is what is known as "Misreading your audience".
At worst; you are now portrayed as a company who's values are diametrically opposed to over 90% of the US population.

You forgot the air quotes around the word "values".
But for Jon Favreau, Disney would already be bankrupt.
