RIP To the "Rugged Everyman" Fred Ward. From Remo Williams to The Right Stuff, Fred Ward was one of those actors with natural charisma that pleased audiences just by being on screen. Very much in the vein of "Roy Scheider"; tough, humble, capable men with a sense of humor. Fuckin' shame man. nypost.com/2022/05/13/fred-ward-short-cuts-and-tremors-actor-dead-at-79/Fred Ward, ‘The Right Stuff’ and ‘Tremors’ actor, dead at 79Fred Ward, the veteran character actor best known for his diverse roles in “Tremors,” “The Right Stuff” and Robert Altman’s “Short Cuts,” has died. Literally just watched REMO WILLIAMS last Saturday. While he was too old for the part (by about 20 years), her was still great in the role. One of the very few actors that I wanted to work with, he had a quiet dignity rarely found. He will be missed. RIP Remo
