pagesix.com/2022/05/04/dave-chappelle-tackled-on-stage-at-hollywood-bowl-by-audience-member/?utm_source=NYPTwitter&utm_campaign=SocialFlow&utm_medium=SocialFlowComedian Dave Chappelle was attacked on stage by an audience member armed with a replica gun Tuesday night during his live show at the Hollywood Bowl. The comic, 48, was performing as part of the “Netflix Is A Joke” festival, when the mayhem unfolded around 10:45 pm, toward the end of the stand-up show, according to witnesses. Shocking video footage shows Chappelle standing on stage as an audience member charges and slams him to the ground. Seconds later, the attacker was tackled to the ground by security. LAPD responded to the chaos and confirmed the attacker was arrested and taken to a local hospital for minor injuries. Police told NBC4, the weapon the attacker was carrying can eject a knife blade “when you discharge it correctly.” Moments after the unprovoked tackle, comedy guest Chris Rock came on stage and gave Chappelle a hug, before saying, “Was that Will Smith?” Rock referred to the infamous Will Smith slap after making a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair loss.

FOR some odd reason, this aspect of the story was kept out of the news for 3 weeks.... "Dave Chappelle attacker Isaiah Lee breaks his silence and reveals he was 'triggered' by jokes about the LGBTQ community and homelessness when he tackled comedian on stage Isaiah Lee, 23, stormed the stage on May 3 in Los Angeles during a standup show by Dave Chappelle, and attempted to tackle the comedian to the ground On Sunday Lee told The New York Post, from jail, that he was 'triggered' by Chappelle's jokes about gay people. 'I identify as bisexual and I wanted him to know what he said was triggering,' Lee said Saturday at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles. 'I wanted him to know that next time, he should consider first running his material by people it could affect.' --------------------------------- The attacker still has not been charged with a felony for the attack because reasons. If found guilty of all the misdemeanors he would, at most, spend 18 months in jail. Not only is the attacker a hysterical ninny, he's also quite "special" in as much as this was the weapon used:
