FOR YEARS NOW, the legacy mainstream media seems to have had a competition to see who could beclown themselves the most, either by ignoring negative stories about liberal politicians/causes, or downplaying and straight up lying about them.
CNN is still firmly in first place, but the NY Times has done all it can to catch up. Their reporting has been so utterly partisan in the past 10 years as to spin the head. 'Member this gem when the Times promised us in 2016 that Hillary was such a shoe-in for President that she was a planetary body?
Yet wishfully thinking is one thing, burying bombshell explosive news about a democrat Presidential candidate a month away from the election is quite another.
When the NY Post first published the story that Joe's son Hunter had, in a crack-fueled bender, forgot his laptop at a repair shop for so long that it became the property of said shop, and that the lap top was filled with pics of Hunter smoking crack with Chinese spy whores and - even worse for Joe - lots of emails which indicate Joe was taking bribe money hand over fist from China & Russia, the Times simply ignored it.
Then they - like the rest of what this country calls "the news" then called it "Russian disinformation." Joe's spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, repeatedly told the press just that, and they all ran with like a puppy with a dirty sock.
Now never mind that it's always been crystal clear that the Russians would prefer Joe Biden as President (to wit, see the current invasion of Ukraine), the lap top was obviously legit from the start.
Worse, the media made no attempt to either verify or dismiss the story despite its implication about the still very real possibility of blackmail material over Joe. They simply accepted Joe's word for it.
Today that year and a half of journalistic malfeasance ended as the Times today finally admitted the laptop is real.
To lie/bury such a massive, newsworthy, story is truly election interference, far more vast - and sinister - than anything China or Russia could ever mount.
If the White House, the Times, and the rest of the media are willing to lie about this story, what else have they lied about? How many other news worthy stories have they buried due to "narrative"?
It casts a deep cloud of suspicion over all media stories, particularly Covid related, as that disease has always been more about politics than science.
Throw in the utter fantasy about their claims of no election fraud and the "insurrection" on Jan sixth, and it's been a magnificent example of what happens when the press fails to do its job.
One can only speculate as to why the Times, quietly, changed their tune (and don't expect the rest of the media to acknowledge it as not even Fox News has the story running as they too were a part of the cover-up), but it seems obvious that the democrats - and thus the media - are ready to rid themselves of Joe Biden lest he further drag themselves down.
It's far too late for that of course as baring a miracle the dems will lose a record number seats at all levels of government 8 months from now, such is the abysmal failure of Joe Biden and his policies... and the press that helped foist him upon us.
